California Chrome to make Triple Crown history?

Granted I'm sure the majority of folks on here don't follow horse racing but for me the thought of actually getting to see a possible triple crown winner in my lifetime has me exuding excitement.

Going into the day I though he had it but pretty much right from the gate I didn't think we'd be seeing a Triple Crown today. Kinda sucks, I was really hoping to see a California Chrome victory.

Edit: I wish the owner had lost with a little more grace.

Well I've hit a triple crown of disappointment. I don't follow horse racing much but we do watch the Belmont if it looks like a there may be a triple crown winner. That's Smarty Jones, Big Brown, and now California Chrome who have let me down. .

To be fair there were over double the amount of horses in today's race than when Secretariat ran. Not that he wouldn't have won back then anyways but a field of 10 other horses is quite a bit different than 4 others.
