I am going to regret this... I saw this deal in a Wal-Mart today... 6920MP for $849.

I decided not to purchase the rifle.

Yeah. I almost jumped on it, but then I thought about the fact that I still don't have a Glock 19 and am running low on 5.56 ammo...

The sword sang on the barren heath,
The sickle in the fruitful field:
The sword he sang a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield.

I went to my local Walmart that has regularly carried 6920s and SOCOMs, and all they had left was a 6940 for $997. I think I missed the boat on the cheap 6920s near me.

Walley World has all kinds of AR's here. Colt goes about the fastest. But they carry different brands moving just about as fast too.

    I don't think I could have stopped myself from buying a 6940 for $997.

I just wanted to point out that you can ask the sporting goods counter person about ordering a firearm at walmart. They have a book which lists which rifles / variants can be ordered and sent to that location. You are required to pay for it in full and then they will order it. They will notify you when it arrives. I was told the purchaser is not allowed to carry the firearm through the store so someone will escort you to the door and hand it over there.

    Food for thought...
