Does anyone think we will ever see a price this low again on 6920's? My local WM has black and tan furniture 6920MP's for $849 and 6940's for $997. I certainly don't need one of these but it sure is tempting. In my area with sales tax it would be $918 OTD for a 6920.

I hope for the sake of gun stores across America, that Walmart is dropping Colt. Please don't go telling me how terrible your local gun store is. I have been in retail my whole life and I can tell you how bad most customers are.

If a gun store is crap, a gun store is crap. Don't go telling me that we should content ourselves with lower quality weapons just because our local gun store stocks them.

Not all Wal-Marts in our area carry firearms. I drove 20 miles to a Wal-Mart that does, and I saw a variety of AR carbines including a few Colts. The Colt 6920 was priced at $1097 and the carbines with more whistles and bells were a bit more expensive.

I get shooting supplies at Walmart....ammo, targets, ear pro, safety glasses, etc.

I have never bought an actual firearm there though. Colts don't interest me, but if they did, Walmart has them cheap.

But getting walked out the door like a retard whose brand-new, still in it's box, empty firearm is going to suddenly, and of it's own accord, just go crazy and start shooting the place up? No. Never.

Having worked on that side of the counter in a "big box" store in the past I can understand why they walk all of these people out of the store. Just because your LGS doesn't do the same means nothing to a big publicly traded company like Wally World. In other words, lawyers recommended it for lowering the liability. How many of these new gun purchasers are also buying a box of white box Winchester? Just think about that.

I haven't, but I might try and look this weekend if I get time. If I do see some I'll post in this thread.

    .

I would keep my eyes on them because the sporting goods manager could just be behind marking them down at the clearance prices.

They can carry a Colt to my truck and throw it in the front seat for $849. You actually worry about looking like a tard at Wallmart?
