    I did base level Honor Guard at Eglin AFB, Fl back in 1988. You put up with extream heat/sun, wind/rain and all types of flying insects trying to eat you... I salute them for their courage in the storm; keep in mind that was only one clip of the many different challenges that they face each day.

    These Airmen were just doing their job, but they really deserve a beer after their detail.

    Hats off to the Airmen of Elmendorf AFB also, they're the only Air Force honor guard in the whole state(aside from Eilson AFB, but they have small AOR), which is dominated by retirees. They get owned by snow a lot.

    (my buddy at elmo was on the honor guard when he committed suicide due to fiancee problems... )
