Something about BCM lets me sleep at night. There are other high quality bolt sellers though.

I picked up two at $109 a piece a few months ago.

Colt, DD, or BCM would be my first choice, but I agree at those prices and specs hard to pass up.

Centurion is another good option and can usually be found in the $150 range.

From what I know about all the special jigs BCM has had made (read very expensive) to quickly and efficiently check dimensions, proofing in house and using a certified lab to MPI each and every bolt, I put them up there with Colt. Everyone else is below them IMHO.

BCM is great, and will run forever but there are several quality manufacturers out there that will serve you well. I guess I'm missing the boat in regards to the burning need to replace a part of your weapon system that has a .01% fail rate?

Mine always turn into new rifles. I'm just gonna start buying spare bolts to avoid that problem.

ETA: [Just realized I quoted the wrong posted link. Sorry for any confusion. ]

Slight tangent here but on my MI BCG the carrier is so horribly machined it looks like it was made by a group of angry beavers. I bought it during the "crisis" so I overlooked it since I needed one. My BCM and LMT bcgs are works of art compared to it.

Midwest Industries BCG made by beavers? Pics? MI always makes quality stuff, and BCM actually uses their rails on some of their builds.
