"Sorry I was thinking the front sight post and it would get in the way of the scope"
It will but it doesn't bother some guys. If I planned on running a scope I wouldn't buy a rifle with a fixed front sight. GH

If you're looking for a basic M4gery (i.e., 16" barrel, carbine gas, FSP, 203 cut), in today's market your search should start and end with a Colt 6920. The only reason I would look anywhere else is if I wanted something that deviated from the M4 profile. Middy gas? Pencil barrel? Factory lo-pro gas block? That's the point where I start hitting the websites of BCM and Daniel Defense.
Here's the link to CDNN's magpul edition 6920.
I'll also echo what other folks have said about a scope and the front sight post. I use a 1.25-4 VXR on a rifle with the front sight post, and now I never even notice the FSP through the scope.
Hope this helps.
Wow.
That is a good price .
But is it a 5.56
Looks like a .223
I want a 5.56
Thanks
I will look in to this .

Stag is pushing the shit out of their goofy rifle. I mean.... I'm seeing ads and articles pop up everywhere.
They'd be in business if they put a good barrel with a 1/8 twist. But they're stuck in 1994 or something... with a couple of modern parts to top it off.

To the best of my information after reasonable inquiry and belief, Colt only offers 5.56mm carbines, i.e., they'll gobble all the cheap .223 you can throw into them, and all the 5.56mm you can throw into them. Trust me, if it was a .223 chamber, people here would raise the roof.
Skip the 6920. Carbine length gas system, crappy trigger, no FF rail, only a 16" barrel (no 14.5") no comp, crappy stock, comes with an FSB to be in your way while shooting, old-school grip......save a few more bucks and do it right.
Save a few bucks, and get a BCM KMR RECEE 14.5" http://www.gandrtactical.com/cgi-bin...on&key=780-780
Take a good look at what it comes standard with, and be impressed with it's value.

You're confusing being anti-6920 with being pro-much better ARs. 6920s are dinosaurs in the AR world. Completely old-school. Basic. Nothing special about them.
I don't do vanilla, and I will always suggest spending and getting more to those that ask.
AR noobs think any AR is cool, so to them a 6920 is the bees knees because they don't know any better, and they buy one. Then, once they have one for awhile, and start learning about them, they wish they had bought something better. Therefore, I choose to not start noobs out on the wrong foot, and suggest something that's better, more modern, nicer, more ergonomic, better shooting, etc., etc.
