I saw a nice light show off to the NW/straight up 290 on the way home from a buddy's house here about 30 minutes ago, so it looks like it's headed to Houston. I'm sure it's the same system, but I hope the tornadoes stay away!

In Jersey anythings' legal, as long as you don't get caught.

Austin is full, try Dallas or Houston.

I got my wish - no tornado, no hail, lots of rain at my house.

I got caught in a hail storm in 08 when I was living there. Was living up on Lake Travis in an Air Stream. Air Stream fared fairly well, but my flexible sewer hose didnt. About a week after the storm I went to dump my tanks, little did I know my hose had a ton of holes in it. Shit, Shit everywhere as little streams of shit were spraying out of my hose. My neighbor was just standing there laughing at me. That was fun.

The storm caused my power to go out from 10:30pm until 12:30am.

Thankfully nothing hit near us. Just lots of rain and wind and cool light show.

My buddy's place got hit by lightning. His alarms started going off and wouldn't turn off. Fire dept came out and couldn't get them off. They went off for over 2hrs. No fire but the alarms are tied into his house alarm somehow and the hit caused them to stay on.

I think I'd rather be without power than blaring alarms.

Man.. where is that southern hospitality? lol

Wife and I loved the Austin area when we were there in '12. If we go to Texas, I think it will be the area we go to.

11th largest city is the US based on population within city limits!
4th worst traffic of any major city in North America!
Running out of water due to population growth and long-term draught!
The bloom is off the rose. The city has been loved to death.
