That's all State Department bullshit. The ATF doesn't know if you ever register with the ITAR. Lots of local guys have 07/02's that don't have an issue as they don't do any international sales and stay well under $250,000 in sales.

The ATF took the time to confirm my state, county AND city occupational licenses. I'm sure they have that ITAR crap on their checklist.

Actually it's not State Dept. bullshit and the BATFE even mentioned this in a newsletter that was sent out.

It's like any other tax. Say they catch you five years from now. They'll say you've been in business for five years so you now owe 5 years of ITAR tax plus penalty and interest.

And yes, BATFE is now asking for proof of ITAR taxes paid when applying for a SOT. At least thats what the agent that is working with me on my ffl told me...
