IRS Claims To Have Permanently "Lost" Critical Lerner Emails, A Lie Already Exposed

All this has took place just late yesterday, the part of the day of the week politicians typically dispense bad news. These articles aren't too long because the story is still being digested, but they tell enough to show someone may finally be in hot water soon.

A general summary of yesterday's disosure:

    http://nypost.com/2014/06/14/missing...e-gop-probers/

"The IRS said Friday it “lost” a trove of e-mails to and from the central figure in the agency’s targeting of Tea Party and other conservative groups leading up to the 2012 presidential election.
IRS officials told Congress it can’t get its hands on many of Lois Lerner’s e-mails prior to 2011 — because her computer crashed that summer, a claim that infuriated congressional investigators."

A fairly scathing response from one of Obama's most prominent and ardent supporters (until the past few months it seems).

And almost certain proof that their story will be verified a lie rather swiftly.

This would seem a very bad move by an already desperate White House. As clarified by the last article unless there was a widespread effort to erase mutiple databases someone somewhere can come up with those emails, it's only a matter of time.

Of course it's a lie; they just don't care. Who is going to prosecute them; Holder?

Your point is more than obvious to all, but they can play the game so long as they aren't overtly proven to have not just lied but also broken the law. However once such incriminating proof is exposed they will no longer have anywhere to hide and nothing including impeachment is ruled out. Impeachment that even the senate would approve if it's undeniably evident.

I'm not stating that roughly a third of the population will care less no matter what, just that if it gets past a certain point even Teflon Obama may be in for some tough times. Also remember that they must know they took a big risk doing this so something very bad must be there.

I truly glad there are folks like you out there who still have faith that something will happen to the collective bucket of turds known as "the current administration." Maybe I'm just overly cynical, but I have no faith in any part of the current administration to not act in their own self interest and break whatever laws they wish with impunity.

The president would be impeached first via congress, then the senate. The administration would have no say beyond exerting internal pressures. The senate is what saved Clinton, but again if the evidence is overwhelming then even they will have to relent.

Why don't we just see what happens? Should be an interesting episode in history at the very least.

The House Impeaches. Impeachment is like an Indictment. 67 Senators to convict.

NSA probably has it as "metadata", just a subpoena away to get it.

I would like to have your faith in the system Safety, but I think Don is correct. About the only way the current administration will ever be accountable is in a land where candy is free and ponies can talk. But, we can wait and see...

We've had overwhelming evidence of BS for years. Nothing happened. Nothing will happen now. [/story]
