Scenario: You were stopped for speeding.

Just remind the LEO that stops you how professional courtesy works. Tell him you are employed by XYZ and you want a supervisor. Then educate the supervisor on AR pistols. Show them the chipped out engraving a local jeweler did that says "Pistlo". When the supervisor asks what a "Pistlo" is inform him you wanted it to read "Pistol" but the engraver screwed up. Then the supervisor will say "Oh, it's one of the AR pistols you just taught me about". You say "Yep". Ya'll high five. Original LEO that stopped you gets back out of his car from reading up on laws and apologizes for the inconvenience. You burn out in your smart car to show them how fast it is as you leave.

Scenario: Pistol range at local club

You are blasting a zombie target that is in front of a small dirt berm @ 15 yards. Accuracy is OK for off hand without cheek weld. You want to get a cheek weld knowing the ATF said "using a Sig brace in manner other than designed is not illegal". However you don't want to draw unnecessary attention so you avoid cheek weld. An RO approaches and informs you that you are breaking range rules by firing "that thing" on the pistol range. You show him the "Pistlo" engraving. He goes away and minds his own business.

If these scenario's are even remotely close to the power level you think the word "Pistol" carries....
You are in for a surprise.

Soldier twiggy kept it professional (+1 on that bro), I kind of not/maybe didn't or did do the same/opposite.

OP , you knew the answer you wanted. Others will disagree however that does not make anyone "uneducated" or ignorant of the law.

Please provide real world examples of this, including case #'s, date and time of the incident, and how a lower being marked as pistol has made a difference in how the situation was handled.

I'm anxiously awaiting your quick and detailed response.
From TOS ... "buy the shit out of that thing, all the mil spec is just nonsense."

Did you think I said it has happened multiple times since the recent ATF ruling on the relatively new sig brace? I did not.

What anyone with experience with law enforcement knows is that people are arrested all over the country every day because an officer is misinterpreting
or misapplying the law. Common examples are concealed weapons and domestic violence. Ive also seen countless other examples like a teacher being charged
with felony assault for putting her hand around a disruptive students arm to take them to the principal's office, a cop saying he would arrest someone for dine&dash
if the ordered food and refused to pay for it (even if they didnt eat any of it), etc, etc

So, when treading into murky water, anything that would help you out, just like carrying a copy of the atf ruling, is the intelligent choice. Of course someone could
disregard the minor benefit this will give you, but to deny that it exists makes you look naive to those with vast law enforcement experience.

But nothing really to accomplish by disagreeing or (really poor) attempts at humor

Ive considered this, but being LE and being in a very gun friendly state, the risk of any incident is very minor.

The actual question would be the risk involved in carrying it around the country under the LEOSA

You're overthinking this and you want to argue. So do whatever makes you sleep better at night.
