Odd they "heard" the pingers on the ocean floor and never found the plane. The "anonymous" explanation sounds about as plausible as any.

When you're talking ocean depths of 10,000+ feet, it's extraordinarily hard to find large ships that sank relatively intact. This is a plane with no survivors, WAY off course, that appears to have broken up on impact; no way we'll ever find it.

I would have thought if it broke up on landing/crashing something would have washed up by now or someone would have found something.

What about the pings from the black boxes they reportedly heard several times over multiply days?

Did anybody throw stuff in a swimming pool as kids and go to retrieve it only to find its a couple feet off from where you threw it. And that's only a 10 foot pool. Now factor in ocean currents and the enormous depth, it's unlikely it'll ever be found given the circumstances of the disappearance, except by accident.

I believe they said the pings were from interference created by the ship that was listening for the pings. They heard their own pings, go figure.

My theory is it had to be in one piece. You think about all the stuff that would float, luggage, seats, bodies, etc and you would have thought that with all the searching going on something would have been spotted by now or washed up somewhere in Australia or Indonesia. I'm not going to get into the conspiracy that it's sitting in Durkastan or someplace like that, but even as barren as the Indian Ocean is, something should have been spotted.
