    Very nice shooting Eurodriver.

I got my "new eyes" courtesy of the War fighter refractive eye clinic at Womack! Vision came out to be 20/12

I need to play this game more often. I never shoot at distances like that enough.

Maybe a thread with everybody posting their targets from a given distance should be started? A little friendly competition?

And I'm not up for putting beers on the line, I could not afford to pay up what I'd end up owing.

Great stuff. My favorite casual shooting is laying down in my buddies cow pasture and throwing a rifle over an old ALICE pack and ringing the steel 20x30" plate we have at 300+ yards with irons.

Actually, this kind of performance is why I haven't dropped the coin to chop my FSP and put on a free float rail. I have never been a particularly good shot, but I loved the 500 meter line on the KD course. You've had time to dial in your dope, you're in a good solid prone, you've got all the time in the world . . . pew pew pew.

Well done, Eurodriver! (Hell and as far as that goes, well done JS-Maine!) Now you need a dedicated 20" musket for long range iron sighted plinking. (So do I.)
I pick up my BCM 20 inch A4 today... I'll let you know how it goes!

If you want a challenge, see what kind of groups you can shoot at 400 yards with XM193 ball.

I just picked it up. Tomorrow I will shoot it at 400 yds. We'll see what a rifle can do.

Euro that is awesome shooting. It shows that the hard work you put in is paying off. I need to try this next time I shoot as well. M855 is 62 grain right? Sorry for my ignorance but I'm drawing a blank right now. Hope to see more pictures of the sticks and groups soon.

I know it's a way different subject but I get weird looks from the crew served mini and .50 cal machine guns I use for work that sports no optics or any aiming sites at all. Of course I got 2,700 rounds for the mini and 600 rounds for the .50 to make my hits using Kentucky windage from the Pavehawk.

It was another windy day today, ridiculously so actually, but I went to check my 300 meter zero anyways. The wind was gusting heavy at times so I waited it out and did some dry firing at the 300 meter steel. Shot some PMC Bronze 55 grain .223 fmj today.

Once the wind slowed a bit I carefully squeezed off four rounds. I could hear the thud of the rounds impacting but I wasn't convinced whether it was the steel or the mound behind it. I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice group measuring just under 4".

You weren't kidding about the wind, that looks to be full value as well. Nice shooting. And are you doing this through an Aimpoint and with MBUS sights? Do you enjoy making things difficult or what?

I've tried this with a nearly stock (MOE+ grip was the only change) 6920. With a 15+ MPH full value wind, not one shot it the 45% IPSC target. Shooting of a bench with no front or rear support didn't help but those are just excuses!

JS-Maine and Eurodriver that is some excellent shooting! Love seeing people do this.
