Doctor they just brought over has died.

I find no fault with this guy and it is unfortunate. He even paid for the transport out of his own pocket, it appears he was just a little too late.

Total Deaths on US soil from Ebola is now two. (Neither case was contracted here)

    Time to panic!
Why do the loudest do the least?

I'm sure that there are people who all about the EOTWAWKI, but that is the strawman. The issue was that the govt wasn't taking simple and logical steps to stop the spread of Ebola.

    -Stop non-essential/medical flights of people
-Treating people with Ebola in facilities and with care givers not prepared.
-Not putting effective quarantines on people returning
-Where are the trillions that we spent on DHS and we have 20 beds in the US optimally equipped to treat these patients.
-Why are more people infected and dying in Africa in this outbreak than in all other out breaks combined?

These are rational points that the CDC and govt struggled to coherently answer.

Let's not pass out the blow jobs and free beer just because after exhausting most of the wrong answers we were able to handle a few cases. In a standard hospital setting we had a 2:1 infection rate. If that doesn't give you pause I don't think you are being rational. What this has shown me is that we are woefully unprepared for a biological attack. I don't think that is lost on AQ/ISIL. With people willing to martyr themselves, you have a delivery system and a pathogen.

    Ebola Blood Stolen

You guys thinking what I'm thinking? I hope I'm wrong.

CONAKRY, Guinea (AP) — It was a highway robbery but the bandits got more than they bargained for when they stopped a taxi van in Guinea and made off with blood samples that are believed to be infected with the deadly Ebola virus.

Authorities publicly appealed on national radio Friday to the unidentified robbers to hand over the samples that were stolen from the minibus taxi during its 265-kilometer (165-mile) trek from central Kankan prefecture to a test site in southern Gueckedou.

The samples were drawn from a single person and were stored in a sealed container, and handed off to the taxi driver when armed bandits stopped the vehicle the aid group had commissioned near the town of Kissidougou, said Faya Etienne Tolno, a press officer for the Guinea Red Cross.

I would almost guess that this is a lab error, but it might help to explain outbreaks, or why it can go dormant and pop up again.

Surprise, surprise. Wondering what took them so long if diagnosis is positive?

IRAQI AND KURDISH MEDIA REPORTS: ISIS FIGHTERS HAVE CONTRACTED EBOLA

Multiple Iraqi and Kurdish media sources have claimed that some Islamic State (ISIS) militants in Mosul, Iraq, have contracted the deadly Ebola virus, Mashable reports.

The Iraqi outlets reportedly claimed that Ebola had started to spread in a Mosul hospital. The city, known as ISIS’s most important strategic stronghold in Iraq, has been under the control of the Islamic State since June.

Christy Feig, the World Health Organization (WHO) director of communications, told Mashable, “We have no official notification from the Iraqi government that it is Ebola.” She said that WHO had reached out to authorities and asked if they needed help investigating the matter.

Kurdish media network Xendan reported that ISIS jihadists’ symptoms were similar to those shown by someone who has contracted Ebola. However, it is highly uncertain whether Mosul health authorities have the means, tools, or skill-set necessary to test for Ebola, given the current hostile environment in the area.

After reading the article I am kind of thinking that this ebola thing is becoming a bit more interesting......muslims from all around the world coming together to get it and take it home.......but I am sure with their advanced culture they will have this taken care of quickly....................

Nah, he'll just MEDEVAC them to CONUS via air ambulance / aka expensive private jets so they can be saved . . .
