To answer YOUR question, I don't think 10.5" to 14.5" is going to offer any significant difference moving muzzle blast or propellant gases away from your face while bump firing. It's really a matter of being 2" or 5" away from the exhaust on a diesel truck.
It looks like you are bump firing from the hip (hard to tell) which if true means the muzzle blast / gases are even closer. Again a 2" to 4" adjustment probably won't make any difference.
