I got an email from the ATF in reference to an issue I was having with the pay module. Lee Alston told me that they had 400 forms submitted the first day eForm 1 was back up. I get the feeling that they will continue to focus on eForms since paper has to be scanned in and they are paying overtime to get the documents scanned.

Glad to hear eforms are coming back. I have a can in the mail on Form 3. Wonder if it would be better to wait and hope the Form 4s come online soon, or just submit a paper Form 4 now...

And I'm still locked out. They tell me it works fine with IE8 they are using. That all well and good except I can't use IE8 since it stopped being supported by Microsoft in 2011 and isn't compatible with Win7 or 8. Lee Alston tried for a couple of days and then passed me off to another guy; he tried once and hasn't answered an email since.

Here is what it does, they say it's not locked, but their site says different. They've reset the password, I've reset the password and it always comes up with this.

Don, do you have access to Google Chrome? I couldn't get IE to work either, when I did mine. Switched to Chrome and no problems.

Chrome is what I'm using. I also tried Mozilla, and IE11. If I use IE11 it gives me an "unspecified log error" message. I'm pretty sure it's browser related, but it didn't start until after I submitted a form1 and changed my password. It's been screwed up since the password change; even with them manually resetting it to a default password.

ETA: I did think it was pretty funny though when their "IT guy" told me to use IE8 since that is what they use. It really doesn't surprise me that he hasn't been much help with that kind of advice.

Well...until they abolish it entirely I prefer it at least get faster rather than not. Sure, I'd rather have a big porterhouse steak with sauteed mushrooms and asparagus on top over a bacon cheeseburger but I'll take the second option WAY over being hungry and having neither, wouldn't you?

Politics aside, the eforms form 1 seems to be plenty fast. Submitted June 25 and received the stamp today, Aug 4. I was completely surprised; need to get my engraving in order and purchase a stock. I wasn't planning on it getting back until the new year, but it only took 40 days.

Efficiency at the ATF must be improving. eForm 1s submitted on the 24th of June are returning approved. I got my two yesterday (7 AUG 14). You can't beat six weeks or under 45 days. This was much faster than waiting 4+ months when I submitted in February.

Just submitted a eform yesterday and today none of my saved forms are available. Anyone else's forms disappear today?
