Mexican Military Chopper Crosses Into US, Shoots At Border Agents

How in the hell does this kind of thing keep happening and with no response?

UCSON, Ariz. (CBS Las Vegas) — Border Patrol agents in Arizona were reportedly fired upon by a Mexican military helicopter that traveled across the border.

KVOA-TV reports that Mexican authorities were conducting a drug interdiction operation when the incident happened early Thursday morning on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The Mexican chopper fired at the agents and then flew back into Mexico.

Art del Cueto, Border Patrol Tucson Sector union president, tells KVOA that they called and apologized for the incident.

“The incident occurred after midnight and before 6 a.m. Helicopter flew into the U.S. and fired on two U.S. Border Patrol agents,” del Cueto said in a statement to KVOA. “The incident occurred west of the San Miguel Gate on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The agents were unharmed. The helicopter went back into Mexico. Mexico then contacted U.S. authorities and apologized for the incident.”

Andy Adame, Border Patrol spokesperson, said that Mexican authorities fired two shots at the border agents.

“Two shots were fired from the helicopter but no injuries or damage to U.S. property were reported,” Adame told KVOA.

I think out Border Patrol agents should go into the fields with shoulder fired missiles and return the favor. Crack that pinata and see how many Mexicans fall out. :-P

I understand friendly fire incidents happen, but this is Mexico violating US sovereignty, and this time its not a bunch of guys with weed on their back swimming across the Rio Grand. WTF. "We fired on your agents, sorry" Too bad out government is spineless and will not even react to this.

Looks like the MRAPs should be heading to the border vs towns that haven't had a murder since electricity came on the scene.

Now that would be a good use for them.

Can you imagine the shitsorm any agent would face if he downed a Mexican chopper, even if is over the USA. Osama and Homer would personally deliver him/her to face murder charges in Mexico. We can't have BP protecting the USA. we are just a bunch of ignorant racist bastards don't you know?

EXACTLY my first thought on this and other southern border stories lately. The MRAPs are actually justifiable on our side of the Mexican border. They are total wastes of money in the podunk towns that are getting them.

While we're at it, I'd also second the call for Stinger missiles for CBP, as long as they're kept within a short distance of the southern border. (We don't need them at the northern border, FYI.)

I know I'm preaching to the choir but there is no way to interpret the current flustercluck as anything but deliberate ceding of US sovereignty by the Obama regime.

MRAPs used against violent criminals? You guys cannot be serious. That was never their intended purpose.

    We get carried away sometimes.

I wouldn't be mad if they mounted quad .50s on top if they kept them on the border pointing that-a-way.
