Not a ballistics expert by any stretch of the imagination and am not very familiar with the 4.7 round so this question may be silly, but according to the gel penetration ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403901688.290827.jpg this thing doesn't create much damage for the first 12" or so of travel. I know we have an obesity problem in this country, but what use would this be against a normal person? The brown tip does a lot of damage up front which I would think is what you want.

You are looking at the wound track backwards. The bullet traverses right to left. Not bad performance for a little 4.6mm round.

The TSX breathes new life into the diminutive cartridge. Other than being able to penetrate armor, it is only now about on-par with a 147gr 9mm HST fired from a G19. Take a 147gr +P load from an MP5 or MP5K and the usefulness of unobstructed shots greatly decreases.

Slightly OT, but the velocity on that M193 looked way lower than what's normal. 2578 FPS?

    It's was shot through a HK 416.

We fire ten rounds from the same lot of Lake city M193 and had a standard industry acceptable deviation. The round fired into the gelatin is from that same lot of ammo and it falls within that deviation

"As of this time, the Metro PD have adapted this platform and they are now running the L-Tech 31gr 4.6mm round as their duty round (the same round we tested in this video)."

I didn't know any Metro PD in the US had adopted the 4.6mm as a duty rnd. Interesting.

While I'm not a huge fan of the small round, it was a great video and excellent test, SMG. Thank you for sharing it.

    Metro PD with SMG's? Insanity.

The MP-7 is clearly a PDW. What does any PD need that for?

    Just my opinion.

If you read the notes, this is to bridge the gap between their pistol and their carbine. " And aside from the information in the notes.... it is the K9 platoon.
