Poor and uneducated people are working for Hobby Lobby?
There are folks who believe that using abortion as birth control is murder and has a real impact on spiritual growth and progression. I am one of those. If I were running a company and the .gov came to twist my arm to provide abortion as birth control, I'd tell them to get stuffed as well. I'd rather stand before a judge to explain why I stand against murder than stand before God to explain why I didn't.
The current regime is bound and determined to pound the American people into submission. More people need to stand up and remind them who is in charge. It's time to remind ourselves that the .gov does not defend or define our liberties. We do

The misinformation on both sides of this have been staggering. For instance Plan B doesn't cause abortions.
Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

"If force can take away liberty, force is necessary to preserve it. It is the hatred of violence alongside the willingness to use violence that preserves liberty. In order for us to live as free men, we have to hate the violence that takes away liberty, yet at the same time, we must embrace the violence that preserves it. That is the paradox our founders appreciated and made work for over 200 years."

There are methods besides the traditional daily pill that could be administered in a doctor's office and that last for substantial periods of time. Depo-Provera, implants, vascectomy, getting tubes tied, etc. Again, it's a "pick your poison" type of social problem. I'm looking at it from a purely financial standpoint, because I don't personally hold religious beliefs that would preclude being able to support it. For those that do, I am not attempting to attack their beliefs. But there is a pattern in our society where many of the people that do not wish for employers to give their employees complete access to ACA coverage (that would include the controversial BC methods) would also like to not have to pay for unnecessary additions to the ranks of those receiving public subsidies. The long term social effects are pretty clear at this point (unwanted children -> crime and increased government subsidies, be they welfare or incarceration costs). My opinion is fairly pragmatic I think, because the notion that a lot of people will suddenly start caring about their futures and taking personal responsibility seriously seems like magical thinking. But hey, I don't know. I thought it was posed as a question to be discussed, and I'm not wishing to offend any of my M4C colleagues over it.

Using methods to prevent pregnancy is one thing. Terminating pregnancies because they are inconvenient is something entirely different.
Not so. First, the issue at hand is forcing a company to provide medical services to it's employees the people running the company find unethical, corrupt and downright evil. Not telling companies they cannot provide a service. But there is a pattern in our society where many of the people that do not wish for employers to give their employees complete access to ACA coverage (that would include the controversial BC methods) would also like to not have to pay for unnecessary additions to the ranks of those receiving public subsidies. Second, it's not that people who find abortion as a method of birth control as unethical do not want to pay for the additions, it's that it's wrong to enable irresponsible behavior. Just because a child is born into a disadvantaged situation that doesn't mean they can't rise above it. Poverty isn't as hard to overcome as the government system of assistance that keeps people from bettering themselves

I typed out a reply, but zapped it. Upon further reflection, given the nature of this debate it's probably wisest for me to abstain (pun intended) from getting too deep into it. Hopefully we as a society will come to some sort of agreement that works well for all sides.

That picture expresses a lot of butthurt about not being able to tell other people what to do.
