Hands down Obama is the worst president since WWII: poll

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times Wednesday, July 2, 2014

Poll after poll shows President Obama's approval rating dipping recently, and one new Quinnipiac University Poll finds that voters say Mitt Romney would have been a better choice in 2012.

With Mr. Obama deploying military troops to Iraq, failing to find compromise with Congress and seeing major defeats in the Supreme Court, voters continue to sour on him.

Quinnipiac found 45 percent of voters say the country would have been better off if Mr. Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, had been election, while just 38 percent say Mr. Obama remains a better choice.

Even Democrats aren't so sure — just 74 percent of them told the pollsters Mr. Obama was clearly the better pick in the last election.

Voters also rate him the worst president since World War II, topping even his predecessor, President George W. Bush, who had left office with terrible ratings.

"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

A Zogby Analytics Poll released Wednesday also found Mr. Obama slipping — in that survey, to 44 percent approval, while his disapproval leapt 4 percentage points from last month to reach 54 percent.

Nearly half of voters told the Zogby poll that Mr. Obama is "unable to lead the country."

If someone took office and did, LITERALLY, the opposite of everything that kenyan puke did, they'd be a damned fine leader!

A lot of this looks like it's being viewed through anti-Obama rose-shaded glasses. They seem to be saying that large numbers are "only" while smaller numbers are "significant".

In any case, I'm sure that in four years, they'll have another Worst President Since WWII and Obama will be between Bush Jr and whoever the new president is.

Hell, if Bush Jr took Second Worst in that polling, Obama not only took First Worst (Most Worst? Worstest?), he also took Fourth Best, behind Reagan, Clinton (!), and Kennedy.

I'm a glass half full kinda guy. Given the leadership offered up by both the Republicans and Democrats to kick off this new century, I gotta believe the only way forward is up.

    Or into the abyss.

Way I see it, he's pissing people off for real, meaning he's finally doing his job - as opposed to tso desperately trying to please everyone.

It doesn't hurt he couldn't give a rats ass about being re-elected so there's no need to play that kind of politics, as we can now clearly see.
Things are going to get really interesting - going to see a bit more balls I think.

Topping W is going to take a lot more than some poll......I mean - really - is our amnesia that bad or do we really think the Iraq thing and with that crashing the economy is just a speedbump from some prior administration?

Well he did exactly what the people who recruited him, trained him, etc. wanted him to do. On that part he is NOT a failure and acheived most of their goals.

What exactly has he done? The ACA was written by a bunch of insurance company lobbyists by Democrats in Congress. Obama signed it but had little to do with drafting the legislation. The ****-ups at the DOJ and IRS are just that, bureaucrats running amok. For all the pitching and moaning, we're six years in and I can't see where the guy has really done ****-all.

Moose-Knuckle pretty much sums it up. The Glorious Leader has been an out and out success. He said he would "fundamentally change the country" and I would say he's gone a long way down that path. Other than the fact that many feel it's in the wrong direction, you gotta admit that he's done what he set out to do and is working to finish the job. In that respect he should be at the top of the list and not the bottom. Now considering WHAT he's done to this country, he's where he deserves to be.
<SARCASM-ON> Now for a word from the PC Police: It's a racist poll! Has to be because he's the only African-American on the list so how can he be judged against a bunch of old white guys? The poll question should have been: Who's the best African-American President this country has elected? Now that would have been a fair question! <SARCASM-OFF>
