Confession time. The favorite rifle I've built is: my wife's.

It's probably the most practical and functional carbine we have, I really like how aesthetically consistent the upper is with the VTAC Rail slot pattern and the BattleComp, and the lower is a truly excellent do-everything lower (GSSA, BAD Selector, Norgon Ambicatch, SOPMOD Stock).

My favorite AR was a Rock River Arms National Match rifle I purchased in 1998. The fire control group pin holes were worn out at just North of 74,800 rounds and I had to let it go last year. I went through three uppers and nine barrels. When I had my head and ass wired together, I could turn in a decent score at 600 yards.

Now I am shooting 1903 Springfields. Recoil is your friend.

Honestly my dedicated .22 upper on a s&w M&P 15 lower with vtac troy rail and aimpoint pro is my favorite AR.

It's the most fun by far.

My favorite is my Colt SOCOM I; the only thing I changed out was a Colt 14.5" SOCOM barrel and replaced the trigger guard with a KAC Model. It is everything that I want in a rifle, with perfect weight and balance.

I really like one of my first AR's I ever owned, my Sabre Defence. 16" SS fluted Sabre barrel, Magpul UBR stock, Geissele trigger, SLR 13" handguard, Phase 5 muzzle brake, & a couple other things.

    What is your favorite AR?

I been reading and learning from you guys for a long time and trying to take it all in and think I found a thread for my first post.
I have 2 good rifles I'm close to. The first is my dd m4v3 with a ta31 and some larue accessories shoots more accurate than I do. It has maybe 2000 rounds if even that over 3 yrs of owning it. I work 60 hrs most weeks and with a 2 and 4 yo it's hard to find time for me.
The second rifle is a plain 6940 I picked up a couple months ago and only put a cpl hundred rounds through it. Only thing I added was a sling and I'm gonna put a good Aimpoint on it soon but for as comfortable as I am with it it's an easy decision for me without any add ons. I pick the 6940

My favorite AR, was a Colt Sporter I bought in 1978. Why it is my favorite is because it was my first. I remember discovering that if you take out the spacers in the 2 magazines that came with it, you turned a 10 round into a 20 round. Young and stupid as I was I traded it for a Remington 742. The only thing left is I kept the owners manual for it.
