Thankfully we got lucky and Target policy only applied to OPEN CARRY and they didn't officially put up a "No Guns" sign, they don't want to know about your CCW weapon, they just don't want to see it.
I'm a 100% open carry advocate, but you just don't put other peoples businesses in a position where you force the issue. If you are FORTUNATE enough to live in an open carry state, don't screw it all up by feeling the need to sling an AK-47 or AR everywhere you go simply because you can.
You ALREADY have the right and enjoy local laws that respect your rights. Save it for when you NEED it. You want to be able to walk around with a slung AR after you get nailed by some natural disaster or are experience urban unrest. Don't screw the pooch trying to be cool on the internet.
Several others states are also in the process of TRYING to become an open carry state. Pictures of dickheads with AKs in Target don't help.

Target, like Chipolte and Starbucks, made a request with no actual ban behind it. You can legally continue to CCW all day long.
My brother saw Deliverance and bought a Bow. I saw Deliverance and bought an AR-15.

Hence my CPS remark. I have personally seen two children removed from their home for an act like that. And that occasion happened in Harris County (Houston). I carried the wounded one to the helicopter. The other one went in a police vehicle with a CPS employee sitting next to them.

my blood pressure went straight tru the roof when I saw that. As mentioned every time steps are taken, dead weight slows progress. I hope they pull his CCW license, if you can't follow some basic rules, you don't get to carry.
