[QUOTE=Straight Shooter;1951430]Fellas- I recently went in a HOBBY LOBBY with the gf, and while she was looking around, I kinda looked around and stumbled into the toy section...BAM!!! EUREKA!! There were toys there Ive not seen in several decades!! Dudes...ALL the great, old school glue together model cars....just like I did in the seventies. Army men....train sets...race tracks...they had a DUKES OF HAZZARD FREAKIN RACE TRACK SET!!! Came with the General LEE and a cop car..complete with a JUMP in the middle of the track!!! I was VERY amazed at what they had...too much to name. Yall check em out. Now they they've put a ASS WHOOPIN on Obamacare...even more reason to shop there!!!![/QUOTE

Ive always loved the lobby. When my mom went i went with. Straight to the model car isle! I would always get my Estes rockets there, the train sets were out of the wallets reach at the time though

WOW...great m16 toy! I had the SWEETEST metal TOMMY GUN you ever saw. The thing was unreal fun. Pull the side cocking handle back, squeeze....and a loud BBBRRAAATTT followed until you let go of trigger. Don't know what ever happened to it, but I remember it was about plum wore out. Such fun back then!!! Oh...and that awesome smell of cap guns!

I do miss the toy stores of old, I use to walk into Children's Palace and that place had an entire aisle of nothing but toy guns and none of them were painted neon orange. I had an example of everything from MP-44s to Tec-9s.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

When I was a wee lad (I'm past the half century) Toys R' Us was the Temple of Toys. I had every GI Joe accessory known to exist. By far my favorite was the Mercury capsule and space suit. It came with a 45 record of John Glen's mission.

There came a time when GI Joe started to become interested in getting weekend passes to plunder Barbie's Dream House. I knew then that Joe was going to be retired...
