I'd go 9.5 if possible but That's up to you. What are you looking for in rail specifically? I think you need to determine that first, that way we can narrow down your choices.

So let me ask you this. I order the spec war 5.56 with the trifecta mount. it screws right on and does not go past the muzzle device. Am I ok with a 10" piece?

I have no hands-on experience with that suppressor+mount but the problem with a 10" rail over a 10.5 is that the rail extends past a portion of the threads. On an A2 FH, it'll actually cover the wrench flats.

Check out the fifth picture at Bravo Company. That looks really tight, and might depend on the ID of the rail.

Yessir I see your point of concern, but as far as I know this system locks up tight and does not have any hangover what so ever.

The problem is that it can't lock up tight if part of the threads are covered by the rail, unless the internal diameter of the rail is greater than the external diameter of the suppressor. The suppressor will run right into the end of the rail, and fail to thread all the way onto the barrel. The C3 is 1.37" ID, while the SpecWar 5.56 is 1.5", for example.

"If force can take away liberty, force is necessary to preserve it. It is the hatred of violence alongside the willingness to use violence that preserves liberty. In order for us to live as free men, we have to hate the violence that takes away liberty, yet at the same time, we must embrace the violence that preserves it. That is the paradox our founders appreciated and made work for over 200 years."

Thank you guys for all the input, I appreciate it.'' Now if you will educate me even further. I have a 10.5" BBL, a 10" rail system, a trifecta muzzle device that extrudes past the 10.5", but the SD it self locks down prior to going past the end of the MD(muzzle device ) like so ...
