I've long since decided I don't give a shit anymore, but I do believe it is possible to disagree with the policies of the current Israeli government without being an anti-Semite.

Bam! How about just reporting the facts and some interesting things we might not know instead of inserting yourself to be part of the story. What are they teaching in journalism school? Nothing?

There's plenty to disagree with them about. This isn't the case.

Roger Cohen kind of summed up my thoughts in a column a week or so ago:

"None of this is edifying. Much is abhorrent: indiscriminate Hamas rockets on Israel, Israeli killing of Palestinian civilians in “collateral damage.” Yet I find myself short on moral outrage. It is all so familiar, a recurrent curse. It is a sham fight, and so doubly inexcusable. The Jews and Arabs of the Holy Land are led by men too small to effect change. Shed a tear, shed a thousand, it makes no difference." (http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/15/op...t&emc=rss&_r=0)

Just by the excerpt he is wrong. Israel doesn't want Gaza. It's a painful thorn in their side, and with a more supportive international community, would cease to exist. Gaza is not Palestine. Where is Palestine on a map? Who are Palestinians? They don't exist. Palestine doesn't exist. It's a made up geographical area and population that no one wants.

Edit won't work but Gaza is no different than these phony pro Russian separatists. The term gets thrown around and it becomes a fact. Just like Palestine and Palestinians. They don't exist either. They're manufactured by liberal western media and Arabs who play on them.

Simple, look at the map and any piece of land occupied or owned by a Jew is Palestine.

He is absolutely wrong. The people of Palestine and Gaza were given every opportunity succeed and what they did was elect Hamas to political power and fully support their stated purpose to destroy Israel. What does Israel do when Hamas does not launch rockets at it? Nothing.....Hamas and the Palestinians are the aggressors and deserve the retaliation.

Even through history, Arabs did not want the people that call themselves Palestinian. At varying times, they were a part of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc and they sure as shit didn't care about the Palestinians when they ruled them.
