I have no doubt. They have been great in the past. Still haven't got the stripped on out, though.

My screw was so soft that the #1 extractor would start to thread in and then it would just peel more screw away. John at Aimpoint was great and told me to send it in and he would turn it around quick. Great product from an even better company. Thanks again John

Freddie:
I noticed that in the cases of three of us here who've experienced the hex heads rounding off, the fourth screw has been the culprit. May or may not be significant but, I thought I'd point it out.

I just put my T1 on it's LaRue mount. The first three screws broke free no problem, the fourth required more torque, but still came out ok. No heat or anything.

You don't heat the freaking screw, that just makes it bigger/tighter. You want to heat the surrounding area to expand it so the screw loosens up and comes out. That, is tricky without buggering it up, should have just sent it back to them and put it in their lap. They'd get the message a lot quicker with their workers bitching about the process too. If your dead set on giving it a shot drilling it first, seek out a left hand drill bit, sometimes the reverse action will wind stuff out on it's own especially after drilling through most of it and relieving the tension on the side walls. I don't have a visual on exactly what you're trying to remove, haven't bought one yet, but if the head is above the surrounding surface you can "POSSIBLY" get someone with a welder and good skill to tack a nut to it to give you something decent to rotate out. This has mucho potential to screw something up so don't try it if you don't feel 100% confident with what you're doing and your skills, I'd probably submerge 90-95% of the optic to sink away any damaging heat IF I tried this. One thing that you do likely have access to, again assuming the head is above the surrounding area, is to take a dremel and cut about 20% off each side of the bolt head, this will give you two flat parallel surfaces which you can grab quite nicely with a pair of vice grips, then take a crescent wrench and grab the head of the vice grip to rotate it without torquing the crap out of the vice grip and camming it off the bolt. Pulled 6 COMPLETELY corroded up rounded out phillips bolts out of a 1983 goldwing this weekend using that method and it worked fantastic. Good luck man, I hate frozen bolts, and the jerks that use loctite like it's ketchup.

got my H-1 from UPS today and one of the screws rounded out for me too. sending my unit back to aimpont, because i dont want to be bothered with doing it myself and i want extra screws
a big +1 on four Torx screws for the base, especially if they are using so much thread locker.

Just want to give a public thanks to John and Aimpoint. John got me unit back in less than a week. it is mounted now and I love it. Aimpoint takes care of their customers. Thanks again, John

I just received my first H1. That optic is so small....I saw pictures but I didn't realized until I opened the package how tiny it is.
After reading this thread I was worried about stripping the screws when swapping the LT mount. All came out easily.
Now I'm ordering another Aimpoint Micro.
