In this instance, and this is strictly my opinion, the right question is: "Does the GOP want to expose the flaws of single payer?"

Sure, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul do. Does Newt? Does Mitt? Does Karl? Doubtful.
Much of Obamacare is what Mitt did in Mass, and Obamacare is not unlike many programs floated by a number of Republicans. I doubt many politicians have the courage to do the right thing with this, though.

Just as the Democrats looked forward to having things like The Patriot Act at their disposal (despite official objections), the Republicans look forward to having mandatory health care when they are back in office (despite official objections).

Not that many here are actually fooled, but both parties simply take turns "being the bad guy" while government as a whole and a cooperative effort limits freedoms and increases the size, power and cost of government.

To note the court ruled against it with "great reluctance"... As it was written poorly (no shock there).

Which doesn't bode well for my confidence.

That's about the only real conflict between the two parties. The rest is all political theater. Some here may believe that George Bush had more in common with them than Obama, others believe they have more in common with Obama than George Bush. The reality is Obama and Bush have much more in common with each other than either of them have with any of the rest of us.

It's a lot like a guy in a bar watching a football game screaming "WE WON!" when in fact he didn't win anything. A bunch of guys he never met, many who were drafted from out of state and paid millions of dollars to play a game won that night. If they ever met the "guy in the bar" they'd probably wouldn't even like him despite his "super fan" status. Yet despite the fact that he actually gains NOTHING by his favorite team winning, and in fact typically spends a great deal of money supporting that team, buying tickets to the game and all manner of memorabilia "he" is still closer to his game than we are "to government."

Another court just ruled it was good to go. So if it goes to SCOTUS you can expect it to be upheld because they don't want to embarrass themselves since they upheld the original part of the Affordable Care Act.

Gee, I wonder who the 5th vote in that coming 5-4 decision will be?

Those dirty pics of Roberts will be brought out of the manila folder again and shown to him as a "reminder".

It's going to SCOTUS. If it's struck down, the Dems will just say "see, the only way this works is if we go to SINGLE PAYER" which has been the grand scheme from day one...
