    Cleaning and servicing ejector

How often will you guys clean and/or service the ejector on the bolt?

When it stops ejecting. Just keep it wet, and it should be good until it expires.

ETA: This is my maintenance schedule.

Never. I wipe away any debris I can from the bolt face.. including around the ejector, but other than that... nothing.

The test that I use is if the ejector spring feels "mushy" and is easily pushed down, it's time to replace the spring. And it is the same spring as the safety selector lever as an FYI.

Every since I purchased my bolt disassembly tool, every few hundred rounds. Yes it's excessive and anal but I might need that ejector when I'm on duty.

That's excessive. You're more likely to wear out the roll pin or the hole and have it fail from that than the ejector going down.

The bolt is only going to last 10-15k rounds anyway. Replace the ejector if it gets soft, you have FTEj, or with the bolt.

I once heard a wise man say that roll pins are one use items...just food for thought.

    This.

I have several thousand (probably 6-8K) through an AR and have never cleaned the ejector. Never had a problem.

No need to take it apart. A blast of brake cleaner in the ejector drain hole followed by some compressed air should clean out any gunk in there. Just remember to reoil afterwards.
