I need your help!!tell me about this 1911 carbine

A friend of mine just got this on a trade,I remember seeing these in Shotgun news some time ago.there are no markings on the upper it looks to be a stainless barrel,what company did this and how much are these things worth?? he is more than likely going to sell this.any help would be a huge help the 1911 frame has the 15 on the grip nd is stamped auto-ordance corp westHurley,N.Y. E 01245
I told him the frame was probally worth more than the Kit but i really have no clue so pick your brains and clue me in on this strange weapon.and thank you for all the help Guys i told him the people here on this site would have the answer!!

That looks like a Mech Tech kit.

I agree it is a butt ugly weapon,I thought it was a paintball gun when I first saw it.and it is not weighted right, if i had to go with a carbine in pistol cal. it would be the beretta Storm ??is that right???like the used on Battlestar Galatica.or a HK MP5 but I could never afford that .I think it is funny some yahoo put 2 lasers and a scope.Bubba out did his self on this Boat anchor

Yep. Chances are he could sell the conversion for more than an Auto Ord. 1911 frame.
