The lawyer who set up my NFA trust advised me to keep a running schedule A with my copies of the trust (single page all items til more pages are called for) but when submitting paperwork for ATF approval to send a "new" schedule A each time only listing the items currently under review.. If ATF wants a full log of what's in your safe, they can look it up themselves from your past approvals.
Also, a stripped down list leaves less chance of confusion as to serial #, product identification, etc. on the ATF's part, all occurrences which cost you time, if not money, as well.
