What you do is find out what type of animal or insect she absolutely hates and you suddenly have a "thing" for said animal or insect to keep as a pet. This is how I keep my aunt from staying the night. I also like snakes.

Or be like us and move half way across the country. Not for that reason specifically but we live in an area with great educational and job opportunities. MIL lays the guilt trip why we don't move to bum**** IN.

We live 15 minutes away from my in laws. However, I'm blessed because they aren't the meddling types and almost never stop in. We go over to their place more often than they come here.
