What about the folding gas block sight that looks like a standard FSB? I think GG&G or ARMS makes it. I know they aren't held in the highest regard in the industry but they have some unique products that fit a few niches. This may be one such application.

If I recall correctly, it doesn't lock either. Not sure how it holds up under impact as I've never handled it.

Not sure what rifle you're using this on or the rail system you're using, so it may not be an option but something to look into.

Very sorry about your front sight. Hate that a whack on the floor broke the ear. If you'd like to shoot me an email with your shipping address, I'd be happy to send you a replacement free of charge. This is certainly covered by our warranty.

I don't feel right claiming DD. Nice of them to offer. But not their fault.

Admit it. You had your rifle slung while you were attempting a 1260 McTwist.

It's good to see DD monitoring the forum. That's excellent customer service right there.

I think Markm was probably training while hanging upside down or working kettle bells (Pincus) when he fumbled his AR and crushed the DD sight.

Regardless, it's our part, it broke, let me replace it for you. It's the least we can do.

So it's the nature of folding sights that they are not as durable as desired?

I use only Troy's except my HD gun has the DD fixed front with a Troy rear- I like having the option to fold the rear sight now when needed.
It is from the construction of underground FEMA camps. I can't say more because there a guy parked in front of house in an AMC Pacer. He is acting like he talking on the phone, but I know better.

I have to sign off now & put my laptop in the microwave.
