If we, as a society, shiver in our boots, and enact more draconian, oppressive legislation, we are, essentially, falling right into one of the outcomes terror attacks seek to bring about.

Walk it off, shake it off, and cowboy the **** up. Anything else is band aids on gunshot wounds.

As far as I am concerned, like Denzel Washington's character, when you look back over the last 13 years, they have already won.
I agree with what's above. We created and armed and trained them as well as provided them intel.

REMEMBER: we brought them to the fore to get rid of Assad and they began fighting amongst themselves and the FSA terrorists. Remember? We trained them in Jordan. That tidbit is also in the public record.

What does not help is otherwise sane folk who swallow the neoconservative/neoliberal policies without so much as batting an eye. What they fail to realize is that they do the nation a great disservice. They CLAIM to love liberty but the policies they support fly in the face of liberty. We even have strong supporters of the PATRIOT Act, Military Commission Acts, the 1033 Program, NAFTA, CAFTA, FTAA, WTO and the like.

Not sure what to make of that...

So, some of our air drops to the Kurds accidentally went to ISIS instead.

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...our-hands.html

At least one bundle of U.S. weapons airdropped in Syria appears to have fallen into the hands of ISIS, a dangerous misfire in the American mission to speed aid to Kurdish forces making their stand in Kobani.

Gosh. How silly of us. Someone should be more careful.

If it really was an accident.

I'd hate for someone in our administration to actually be.....helping....ISIS.

I've been trying to follow the number of sortees flown, and the various sources I've visited certainly make it all sound like a token effort at the very most.

SAS taking out ISIS fighters -

SAS quad bike squads kill up to 8 jihadis each day... as allies prepare to wipe IS off the map: Daring raids by UK Special Forces leave 200 enemy dead in just four weeks

Targets are identified by drones operated by SAS soldiers
Who are then dropped into IS territory by helicopter to stage attacks
The surprise ambushes are said to be 'putting the fear of God into IS'
The raids are attacking IS's main supply routes across western Iraq

Good for them! I'm gonna guess that there are some CAG/DEVGRU/SF types roaming around too. There'll come a day when we hear about it.

One certainly would hope so, BUT I believe POTUS has them hog tied. Hope the F*** that I am wrong.

The Barrett is one awesome sniper weapon.

EDIT: what prevents those ATV's from ingesting sand? The article stated they drop them off 50 or more miles away from the objective, just don't understand how they keep them running. Also what size gas tanks do they have?
