I don’t know about you fellows but if civil unrest breaks out in my area I’m not loading up the family and running down to the site to see what’s going on.
After the death of a girl in Boston due to a "non lethal" I was at the training (re training really) for non lethals for the BPD. I was surprised how fast those projectiles were moving. Almost all of them were intended to be skipped off the ground to slow them down and direct them into the lower body vs directly aiming at the intended target(s) or they are capable of surprising amount of damage. Some of the guns firing rubber bullets were even rifled to increase velocity and range. I believe the BPD shot the girl directly, and she fell off a wall and died. My understanding was they were given minimal training with the non lethal guns they had and after that event, did they bring in someone to make sure they were being used as intended. I had a different view of non lethals after that and firmly stuck in my mind the term:

"After the police investigation, Officer Rochefort Milien was identified as the person who actually fired the shot that killed Snelgrove. On May 2, 2005, the city of Boston announced a $5.1 million wrongful death settlement for her family's lawsuit.

On September 12, 2005, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley announced that he would not prosecute any of the officers involved. [2]

On September 16, 2005, O'Toole demoted the police superintendent who was in charge the night of the shooting to captain and suspended two officers. She also issued written reprimands to two other officers. Milien agreed to accept a 45-day suspension without pay. The deputy superintendent outside Fenway Park at the time of the incident was also criticized for poor decisions that led to Snelgrove's death, but had already retired.

The weapon that killed Snelgrove was manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN Herstal). Because of the incident, several police forces, such as the Seattle Police Department, discontinued use of this weapon.

In July 2006, a $10M lawsuit between FN Herstal and the Snelgrove family was settled.[5]"

There's been quite a few deaths in Ireland and Israel due to using rubber bullets on people.

    F-ck people are stupid:

"Ferguson police had wanted to release the video Thursday, but it held off when the U.S. Justice Department asked it not to, arguing that doing so would increase tensions in the community, the source said."

A vid showing the POS was a common criminal increases tension? How does that work? Those supporting "the poor boy" should feel like idiots after seeing that and go home knowing they jumped the gun on assuming he was simply a victim of the po po. And this one:

"Release of the video on Friday angered some, who say police were using it to distract from Brown's killing and make him look bad."

They are trying to make him look bad, he WAS bad. WTF? This is what drops my already low opinion of most people to some new level of low I can't even put a number on.

On the looting, tensions were ramped up, probably vindictively on the part of the Ferguson Police Chief and the City or County Prosecutor who authorized releasing the video to the media after claiming it was due to FOIA requests. For more information on just how happy the MSHP Captain is with the Ferguson Police Chief read this: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/...-michael-brown

Who needs a holster when you're rockin' a fake Hermes belt?

    Yep.

Captain Ron Johnson is Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton in a uniform. Far as I am concerned, he ought to be arrested and charged with aiding and abetting criminals because that is exactly what he is doing.

When you've got rioters, GODDAMMIT RIOTERS, not PROTESTERS, doing shit like throwing molotovs, shooting, robbing, assaulting, etc you go in and bust some heads and put some people in the ground, not JOIN THEM.
