Did anyone even read the article excerpt in post #3? The guy sounds entirely harmless.

Yes, maybe. For those who don't know, prior to the Nazis, the swastika was a widely used symbol, INCLUDING IN THE USA, which basically had cultural and good luck significance. IT WAS NOT A SYMBOL OF HATE. See:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika

Obviously the Nazis were a big enough deal that the meaning of the swastika is permanently tarnished in the US and other western countries. But at what point does a symbol get so tarnished? I don't watch network news and I don't know what the supposed flag of "ISIS" looks like. I'm curious how many other people do. If the flag-owner's statement (post #3) can be believed, I really don't see there being anything here.

In any case, there were lots of flags used by crusaders. But there is no special crusader flag - flags that originated with crusades and for crusaders, but due to centuries of use in non-crusade contexts have lost that meaning (the Danish flag is said to have originally fallen from heaven as a 'In Hoc Signo Vinces' during the Baltic Crusades, but today that history is just garnish on what is a symbol of a largely secular Western European nation).

I read it. And I still don't know where you'd get an ISIS/Islamic State flag. Hell, I don't even know what one looks like.

If he doesn't take it down after the beheading.....he's not going to have any friends left when his house catches fire...

I seem to recall reading that he had taken it down after he got complaints about it. In the original article. So I'd guess he probably hasn't had it up for some time.
