    Little League World Series

Anyone else follow the LLWS as summer winds down? I always get a kick out of watching it, generally because of the exceptional play by some of these youngsters and the almost comical disparity in size between some of the players.

There's a kid pitching for the Nevada team who is 6'2", 168 lbs, and hurls about an 80mph fastball. And yesterday he was on the mound pitching to a kid from Chicago who was 4'9" and 80 lbs soaking wet. That's the stuff that makes the LLWS such a hoot.

I don't really follow it, but it's big here. I live around the street from the Tuckahoe LL park and they usually do quite well.

Have you seen that girl pitching 70mph and no hitters? she's got it goin' on. "what do you like best?" "Striking out boys and hitting home runs"

I think that gal, Mo'Ne Davis, will be pitching Wednesday night when Pennsylvania plays Nevada. Not sure if the big kid from Nevada, Austin K., will be on the mound. Ought to be a fun game.

I don't really like baseball but I do like watching the LLWS. The kids are fun to see play and they're pretty good, too. My home town was in the Softball portion but they got crushed haha.

What timing. I just watched that clip about half an hour ago. Kids could use a lot more coaches like that fella.

My 10yr old son plays LL (starting pitcher). He is a lefty and throws 50MPH 4 seamers! He just tried out for the local travel team and looks like he will make it. This local travel team placed 4th in the State so you might just see him on TV in the next 1-2 years!

We have been watching some of the games. As good as any major league game IMHO.

Good game last night and congrats to the Nevada team. Philadelphia certainly had their chances with players in scoring position, but when Nevada brought in Austin K. to relief pitch, that kid was lights out. He came in with no outs, the bases loaded, and retired the side. Not bad.

Philadelphia will play the kids from Chicago today to see who gets to take on Nevada Saturday for the U.S. Championship. This should be a pretty decent game as well.
