Ordered a Bowers to try out. I'm willing to spend $35 to find out how well it works.

Well how did this cover work out for you?

The price is right and Bowers is fabulous to deal with. I spoke with Dorothy on the phone who was very pleasant and helpful; and had the cover the next day in my mailbox!

That being said, I didn't care for the cover itself. On my Saker, it would ride forward from the recoil. And even with the cover in place; I needed thick gloves to remove the can from the barrel. It was HOT after about 30 rounds of slow, controlled fire. These might be ok with lower velocity ammo, but not for cans running 5.56!

So,I ordered a Griffon Industries HMMS and couldn't be happier.

+1 been using mine for a few months now, about 2000 rounds through an M4-2000 and no issues. Buy with confidence.

My only hesitation with the Griffon Industries HMMS is in this video it didn't seem to cover the complete suppressor, but that may have just been user error.

In this next video the guy takes the suppressor cover to its failure point.
The failure point begins at 12m 54s if you want to just move the video to that point

I bought a TAB gear one for my Sparrow since it doesn't get too hot, is more to kill the mirage, and is a custom fit.

Looking at the Rifles Only product for my SDN6, or maybe this Griffin thing.

Rifles Only has a new or renamed product called the HAD (heat abatement device) that is an additional heat shield on the outer cover that can withstand 2000 degrees on top of the inner core that can withstand 3000 degrees, should be interesting to see how valid their claims are.

How easy or difficult is it to remove/install a HMMS or HAD?
