Personally, I agree one hundred percent.

I believe Fox showed an earlier (pre 2012 capture) interview with Foley where he discussed being previously held and interrogated because they (and I am not sure who "they" were, I was at work and could not catch the whole thing) thought he was a spy. Perhaps he thought being a journalist they would eventually release him if he did not fight.

like any other thread the muslim lovers here and other places will step in and say you can persecute muslims ? yet none are standing up to this and speaking out in mass ?
and reality is muslims doing this ! no other religious group is doing this ? and all over the world pretty much every single problem is muslim related now !

where are they on the news and the outcry for this to stop not just ISIS but in Africa etc..... ? where is that group care and why are they not on the news demanding to release US hostages ? and they are in the white house ! and supposed not radicals yet they allow this and not a peep

Obama authorized military operations against the Islamic State effectively placing America upon a slippery slope towards a new war front against Muslims.

Good evening. Today I authorized two operations in Iraq -- targeted airstrikes to protect our American personnel, and a humanitarian effort to help save thousands of Iraqi civilians who are trapped on a mountain without food and water and facing almost certain death. Let me explain the actions we’re taking and why.

First, I said in June -- as the terrorist group ISIL began an advance across Iraq -- that the United States would be prepared to take targeted military action in Iraq if and when we determined that the situation required it. In recent days, these terrorists have continued to move across Iraq, and have neared the city of Erbil, where American diplomats and civilians serve at our consulate and American military personnel advise Iraqi forces.

I call on my friends, family, and loved to rise up against my real killers, the U.S. government, for what will happen to me is only a result of their complacency criminality.

My message to my beloved parents: Save me some dignity and don't accept any meager compensation for my death from the same people who effectively hit the last nail in my coffin with the recent aerial campaign in Iraq.

I call on my brother John who is a member of the U.S. Air Force: Think about what you are doing. Think about the lives you destroy, including those of your own family. I call on you, John, think about who made the decision to bomb Iraq recently and kill those people, whoever they may have been. Think John, who did they really kill? I wish I had more time. I wish I could have the hope for freedom to see my family once again, but that ship has sailed. I guess all in all, I wish I wasn't an American.

Then contact your representatives and request that Congress and President Obama to declare war on ISIS specifically. Demand that they be pursued by whatever means available and be eradicated. Operation Rolling Thunder from Syria to Iraq and destroy ISIS where they live and breath until no one is left with the courage to fly the black flag again. Of course that would probably require a joint cooperative effort with Putin since he is backing the powers that be in Syria.

Sadly, our current economic state does not allow such an option. We now have $17 trillion in debt, dwindling military resources, and a war weary public.

Pacifying the region would take a ground force of 250K+, more than $500 billion / year in revenue, and multinational cooperation that no longer exists.

Thus, we are in the very difficult position of having no play with the hand that is currently being dealt.
