Billionaire businessman George Soros has upped his ante in what some industry insiders say in his long-running bet that the United States will suffer a massive stock market collapse in the coming months.

His financial filings show that he’s been predicting such a collapse in the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index since late 2013, Newsmax reported.

This is the guy who is running the United States, this is the guy who owns Obama and the democratic party, you would be challenged to discover more sinister human creature anywhere on earth...

I can't speak for Soros, but people we have conducted protection details for have found the current administration and it's allies unfriendly to those with wherewithal and are not investing their money, which is a considerable amount.

It's one thing to short a stock here and there. It's another thing entirely to short the whole market and bet on the economic collapse of the United States. Soros has the ability to move the entire market. He's that rich and powerful. He's a despicable "American" and everyone should know that he is anti-American for his troubles.

He's Hungarian born, so while he may be Naturalized I would describe him as being a citizen only in the eyes of the government. If he wanted the US to succeed he could invest in that direction, however he is going for the US currency failing in the hopes of making bank like he did with the pound. I wouldn't have a problem with him getting forced down in France, having his assets frozen, and spending the last few years of his life in a French Prison for his insider trading conviction.

By that metric, a good number of this nation's leading financiers and industrialists, as well as leading financial institutions, should similarly be labeled despicable and anti-American.

I would agree that a "good number of this nation's leading financiers and industrialists, as well as leading financial institutions" are acting against the interests of the United States and it's citizens for personal gain. I would not have any reservations about using the word "sinister" to describe many of their motivations.

Banks giving huge loans to people grossly unqualified to manage them led to the housing collapse, which then collapsed the economy which resulted in massive job losses and the only people to get bailed out were Wall Street and that was done with US tax dollars.

If I were to devise a sinister plan to destroy a country I'm not sure I could have come up with anything better than the above.
