IMHO open carry (especially long guns) is displaying ZERO discretion and tact, no matter who does it. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I kind of think everyone should open carry all the time.

Barring that, I'd personally prefer to concealed carry for tactics and social reasons. I also think the more people do it, the more it'll be accepted. But carrying long guns that aren't slung across your back is like holding, not holstering, a pistol everywhere you go. It would put me on edge for sure.

Oh it has nothing to do with their "love here over the past few months", it has everything to do with the garbage they put on their youtube channel, and how idiotic their "tactics" are. I view them the same as the idiots in the OP's post. Same genus, different species.

I can see the legitimacy of the comparison between the OP group and OCT, and how ironic it is that some champion OCT as saviors of our rights, while condemning the group in the OP. That's all.

When you state you need to open carry to protect yourself against criminals and the police, it sounds a lot like protection from criminals and from the government. If it was not a group founded on the principles of racial hatred, I might be inclined to let it go. Ask yourself if everyone would be all warm and fuzzy for the KKK to do the same thing.

I was more disturbed by the college student that wants to make sure everyone is aware of the situation with MB. Forget the fact that we don't know if that situation was "criminal attacks police and gets shot" or "criminal wrongly shot in police encounter".

I understand it's different circumstances, but I think the problem here (the double standard) is the media's reaction to it.

My personal feeling on the matter is when these open carry advocates were doing their thing, and exercising their rights the public and media acts unfavorably (myself and many others thought they were idiots for drawing the negative attention, and giving the liberal media the ammo), but when a historically racist and extreme group does it, it's their right...... kinda backwards.
