Keep your eye on Hodge, some neat things in the works.

In the current age of "everybody's an AR maker", it's easy to miss what makes these something different.

I am, obviously, completely unconnected with Hodge Defense.

Is that a Tapco single point sling attachment under the buffer tube? If not it looks damn similar.

I keep reading this, but no one has actually described in real terms,"the difference". I would really like to hear what is different about the gun that started this thread.

The attention to detail and quality of work on what I saw was exceptional.
As far as components, why don't you contact Hodge directly and ask?
Really, while the current stuff is nice, it's the upcoming product that I'm looking forward to.

I'm with Dwood. Please provide facts and specs as per M4C teaching and preaching. Offering analogies and telling forum members to go find them themselves when they are not the ones that started a thread espousing the greatness of a product is rather obtuse for this forum.

Me, I'm looking at the sources of the information about Hodge Defense (SMGLee and Failure2Stop) so I'll be keeping an eye on Hodge Defense if I ever decide to purchase a "top tier" AR.

It's precisely because of the sources of information that more is expected.

The whole "high-end 1911" analogy doesn't really work for me, as the AR doesn't require hand-fitting of parts for reliability or accuracy. I am, however, very interested to see what revolutionary AR parts Hodge Defense has in the works.

It's really not my place or in good professional conduct for me to discuss another company's product.
But, since I'm apparently the only person with google, here's what www.hodgedefense.com had to say:

    Here's their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HodgeDefense

I can't talk about what I discussed in confidence, if that makes me a poor steward of the internet, I apologize.

    ETA:
For complete transparency, I have not received a discount, free items, or even so much as a T-shirt or a sticker from Hodge Defense, or anyone even remotely connected to Hodge Defense.
I just happened to hear some good things about it, sat down with Jim for a discussion, and spent some time with his product.
