    Iraqgunz,

No doubt. Which is why barrel nuts like Geissele and others that do not require alignment seem to be superior to old style usgi nuts. I just used the torque value topic as an example of a minute detail.

I wish them nothing but the best and plan on keeping my ear to the ground about them.
I know that it isn't a critical thing, but I like the idea of a AR that is built with the same attention to detail like my GAP or S&S rifles. Whether it will be a Hodge or somebody else offering will have to wait for hard details and reviews though. Who knows maybe Ill be able to sneak it by my wife after I finish buying out Dad and can give the finger to my second job.

Maybe the extra is for the shamrock engraved over the charging handle, "restricted" engraving, the huge History Channel looking logo, and the tear drop FA.

There's a long thread about prices dropping, BCM has a huge sale with free BCGs, and this carbine offers what? over others available for half the price or what I can build. I don't see it.
I see that the knee-jerk assumptions brought to this forum a few years ago by "The Chart" are still with us.

I'm all for more manufacturers in the upper end category. Absolutely nothing bad comes of it. Only good things for the consumer.

    Competition is a glorious thing.

    Analogies.

Specs that don't match from four different sources.

    Specs that are not released.

    Go find it yourself.

    How dare you ask.

Fit and finish are now specs and matter.

    Posturing and hand waving.

He's a great guy that needs to pay for his business.

I can't describe why, but i'm one of the people that are supposed to be in the unique position of actually being able to describe exactly why.

It could quite possibly be one of the best rifles you can buy, which is why I immediately swapped out parts.

These are not the droids you are looking for.

This thread has taught me much.

You forgot vague references to the builder's history of work overseas and of building rifles for people "who shoot bad people in the face" ie Tier 1/2/SOF, etc. (Though I'm sure if anyone asks for clarification on what the builder did overseas we quickly hear something about not needing to know and would quickly get a "stay in your lane.")

Perhaps if some of you that are bombarding SMGLee and Hodge with questions and condescending responses to answers would read more and keep your mouths shut (seriously, I've read the entire thread and several questions were answered two or three goddamn times!), there would be less noise and more signal.

Seriously, it's a rifle. Either buy it or don't. Stop shitting up the thread with complaints and character assassination.
