Cutting down the KAC rail cover?

Since their rail covers in TAN are only available in 6.5", I have to cut it down by myself. Any suggestion on the tools I need to do it for the least fragile along the edge?

I used a hacksaw and Dremel with a cutting wheel and the ceramic/stone grinding wheel to contour. Very simple if you're at all mechanically inclined.

I have used an old Xacto mitre box and saw to cut down the KAC and Tangodown covers.

Dremel and cutting wheel. Use the flat side of the blade to contour corners. Use sand paper to smooth if needed.

Nice work. Want to do a few for me.
In no way do I make any money from anyone related to the firearms industry.
