    I can't stand stuff like this. Just perpetuating the stereotype that we see all over the place - Black people are stupid thugs.

    Boy: "No."

    Camera Man: "What are you gonna do when you get older?"

    Boy: "I'm gonna have me a gun."

    What was actually said

    Boy: "I'm gonna have me a gun."

    Camera Man: "Why you gonna do that?"

    I was talking about this exact thing with a friend (she is black) when some of these "local news" interviews went viral. Her words; "They (the media) always find the most ghetto person to interview".

    Finding the village idiot(s) is one thing, selectively editing to make someone sound like they are saying something completely different is another.

    God forbid a black kid express a desire to grow up to be a responsible person like a police officer, better to make it sound like he plans on being "down for his set."
