    2nd Aircraft Carrier Group Off to Asia Following Chinese Fighter Jet Incident.....

    The Navy is sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the Asia Pacific region amid new tensions with China over a dangerous aerial encounter between a Chinese interceptor and Navy P-8 surveillance craft.

    The strike group led by the USS Carl Vinson departed San Diego for the Pacific on Friday, the Navy said in an announcement of what it terms a “planned” deployment.

    China’s military on Saturday, meanwhile, demanded an end to all U.S. monitoring flights and called U.S. criticism of dangerous Chinese jet maneuvers false.

    Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Yang Yujun said in a statement that a Chinese fighter jet made a “regular identification and verification” of the Navy P-8 anti-submarine warfare jet during an encounter in an area 135 miles east of Hainan Island.

    Yang called Pentagon criticism of the incident “totally groundless” and insisted the Chinese pilot operated professionally and kept a safe distance.

    The Chinese spokesman’s account, published in the state-run Xinhua news agency, is at odds with Pentagon officials who called the encounter both dangerous and aggressive. A White House official also said the dangerous intercept was a Chinese “provocation.”

    Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby on Friday called the maneuvers by the Chinese J-11—a Russian design Su-27—a dangerous and unprofessional encounter and said the military has protested the incident to the Chinese military.

    Oh, would you look at that, Japanese stock market just took a little nosedive.

    Here I thought the new Cold War would be fought with China over Taiwan and the Senkaku Islands. Guess who's feeling all big and bad now that Russia is exchanging Oil for imports. And for those who laugh at the danger of China, you do realize that in terms of quality manufacturing China holds a quarter of the worlds ISO Certifications.

    China has conducted what the United States is calling an anti-satellite missile test. China has reported the system simply to be defense against ballistic missiles, however it is widely speculated that China has been making significant strides in space warfare as opposed to the United States which has currently abandoned significant space research as well as defense against more modern warfare.

    Russia has successfully tested the next generation of ballistic missile interceptors while both Russian and American lawmakers have proposed backing away from the START arms control pact, with the United States House of Representatives passing legislation that would deny Defense Department funding to carry out treaty-mandated arms reductions. Meanwhile, reports are coming in that Russia is beginning to field the Iskander-K cruise missile in violation of arms control agreements.

    The Defense Committee of the United Kingdom reports that NATO is unprepared to deal with a military threat from Russia and that the alliance's command and control structures are seriously deficient. Additionally, an independent panel appointed by the Pentagon reported that the United States strategy for sizing the armed services is too weak for modern global threats. Contrarywise, Russia is to reopen a listening post in Cuba as relations with Cuba continue to re-warm while relations with the United States deteriorate. Monitors of Russian media report that Russian propaganda against the United States have reached wartime levels.

    Yeah, we were so darn upset and really, really not-glad the last time the Chinese buzzed a P8 and eventually forced one to land and have the crew monkey dance for the world press while the P8 was stripped down to an aluminum beer keg. I'm sure our not-glad face scorched into the Chinese brain: never mess with the US!

    This time around half the secret electronics are likely made in China already, so it may just be a mo key dance and send home.

    Are you referring to the possibility of Induced Kessler Syndrome? That I can't believe, unless China has satellites in orbit that can position themselves outside of the range of a debris field while still being able to transmit directions and commands to ICBMs.

    The ramifications from the collective irresponsibility that willingly selected Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, as national leadership, will reverberate for decades throughout the whole of the western world, the shipping off to China, of a nations entire manufacturing apparatus will literally provoke laughter from whomever it is that pieces together the few remaining hieroglyphs that were once the United States....

    Never mind that we are in shooting gallery of space rocks, any of which could at worst wipe anything out all at once, or worse start a nuclear war.
    Then there are all the morals stuff and a crappy economy.

    But hey, we really need to do something about Global Warming because it might be a real bitch in 70-80 years.....
