I'm surprised Israel isn't 100%, if it wasn't for the USA they would all be dead or slaves.

Even in the top ten critics, the tenth critic has a majority favorable opinion of the US.

Somewhat surprised by the French, though. But then again, we've always loved to hate and love each other, so I guess that follows.

There's a good reason why Israel produces as much materiel indigenously as possible. And it ain't just to sell on the foreign market: America has been fickle with its support of Israel, even supporting Israel's enemies (the Kingdom of Jordan, for one) while respecting an arms embargo on Israel (an arms embargo that the British secretly broke). And the US now supports three of Israel's historic enemies: Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt.

I believe part of the reason Israel is still Israel is because they've innovated to take control of their environment. Desalination of inland seas for water and development of Drone aircraft for military purposes with AAI Corporation. They are one of the most tenacious countries in the world when it comes to asserting their survival. They have national conscription of all non-Arab or Christian citizens and many Arabs and Christians sign up to do their part.

Now as far as favorable/unfavorable with the countries shown people in Ghana and Kenya are limited in the scope of their exposure to America. They would mainly see NGO's from America who's mission is to render charitable aid.

Is the Germany thing because of the recent spying? I'd like to see the same stats for Russia and China.

How many German WWII POWs came home from Russia? Something like 1:20 from those that surrendered at Stalingrad?

Well, they do have an issue with fascists on the rise, so....

They helped us clinch the Revolutionary War and we saved their ass twice from Germany so yeah I'd say it's a love hate kind of a thing.

Vietnam is most surprising to me. 75% like the USA? I know we buy a lot of their textile products, but that's pretty fascinating considering we roasted over a million of them 40 years ago.

I've posted this on here before, but I'll say it again about the Phillipines.

When arriving in the Phillipines several years ago, we were met with some pretty small, but harsh protests from some angry yutes. As our busses left the airport and passed all the protesters, we saw several (less than 10) old men holding up a large sign that read,

"We remember 1945. Thank you US Marines."

Memories in SE Asia must be longer than in Europe.
