That 18" S2W might put me back in the market for an upper.

Very cool, good to see another option.

I am curious, why not put Keymod on all sides except 12 o'clock? It seems one of the attractions to keymod is having it between the 3, 6, and 9 0'clock positions to increase the utility of space on the handguard.

I will be honest, I'm pretty disappointed. DD finally releases a Keymod rail, and this is what they come up with? A DDM4 rail with Keymod cuts. Woo!

To each their own, but this rail isn't for me.

Now if DD and magpul could get together, and have magpul make a keymod vfg, moe+ grip, and CTR in milspec+ color, that would be a happy day.

I don't know if that's a business venture that they'd want to partner up on.

Nah, I like the new DD furniture better than the Magpul stuff.

Maybe not the new standard, but I'd say that once KAC jumped in it pretty much solidified its place in the market.

Do you have any experience with the Lite III/DDM4 rail? I ask because I have one and I can easily say that it's the nicest rail I have ever used. It's easy to install, has a seriously strong bolt-up system, and is the slimmest 1913 handguard on the market.

All of the Keymod rails so far are almost identical in profile... simple tubes with different kinds of attachment systems. The only ones that really merits any interest to me is the BCM offering.

I do not have any experience with the DDM4, and I'm sure it's tough as nails.

I admit that my opinion isn't based on any first-hand experience, but it doesn't appear to do anything better than the KMR.

Obviously, my opinion is subject to change following reviews/ personal use.
