What a mess. You can see the UZI drift right out of the dopey kid's control.

Can't get the video to play.. All I get is an ad for a very tempting buffet at a casino... Poor guy though. Poor choices.

Wow that sucks. I've got to wonder why a 9yr old is shooting an uzi....baby steps folks...how about a .22lr?

At a minimum two life's were ruined, instructor and 9yr old girl. Not to mention the families involved. Firearms are not toys.

    R.I.P.

I hope the little girl (and her family) gets plenty of continuous therapy.

That kid had no business on that pistol in F/A. Looked like he just gave here one round of semi, and then hit the selector.

I remember the 8 year old that shot himself shooting an Uzi a few years ago. Exact same circumstances, loosing control on full auto.

Micro UZI, MACs, and similar high ROF SMGs should not be fired by a novice. That little girl would likely have handled a fullsize UZI SMG without trouble. The mini, aka Israeli MAC is a totally different animal.

Sad story and piss poor publicity for American gun owners.

This is almost an exact repeat of an episode where a little ten year old boy shot himself dead with an Uzi at a gun show out east somewhere, his father watching all the way! Who was in charge of the range and of the decision to allow that little kid to attempt to operate a fully automatic sub-machine pistol? The instructor in the video? If so, then he is beyond punishment, however I suspect that others are involved, and whoever they happen to be, they need to be prosecuted and sent to prison for the Darwinian stupidity of that video! It was an eight year old boy,

"I gave permission for him to fire the UZI," Charles Bizilj told the Boston Globe.

"I watched several other children and adults use it. It's a small weapon, and Christopher was comfortable with guns," he said. "There were larger machine guns with much more recoil, and we avoided those."

Bizilj, a physician and medical director of the emergency department at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, Conn., was about to take a photo of his son when the accident occurred.

Well good thing it was her constitutional right!!!

And everyone wonders why we have to fight so hard and so much for our freedoms.

I only feel sorry for the child
