    i think this may be part of it, and also that alot of people bought wayyyyy more than they would have otherwise trying to keep from getting caught with their pants down.

    i remember hearing people at work in the break room on the phone calling every gun store in the 4 state area looking for AR's in the weeks following SH. god knows what they ended up paying if they actually found any.

    Im telling everyone I know...NOW is the time to buy. RIGHT NOW. Firearms, mags, ammo cheaper than before Sandy Hook, in some cases. Seeing Glock mags on sale under $20...free bcg's, ect. Buy now, or cry later. Ive scored a couple thousand rounds of .22's latelty also. It will all change in a heartbeat at any moment.

    Very true, but the Obamanomics situation has left a lot of people hard up. I'm still buying when I can but getting tired of working OT and skipping lunch for weeks at a time.

    We didn't do it by design, but we happened to do just this on reloading components right before the last panic. We were the only ones out in the desert shooting because no one wanted to use any of the ammo the did have.

    It was nice.

    Truth. Everyone should be buying like there is no tomorrow. $500~ a month easy on ammo alone is a good start, plus guns and uppers. When you can snag a complete BCM blem with BCG and CH for $450 shipped, Used Glock 19s for $300, and 5.56mm down to $290 delivered you know you need to buy now. I buy a brick of .22LR every time I see one for less than $50. Everyone complaining that they don't have enough money either legitimately doesn't have enough money or they didn't get caught with their pants around their ankles last year. I have no issues buying things like magazines and ammo because I know I'll be able to flip it eventually. Ammo doesn't pay the mortgage, but selling 750 loaded rounds in PMAGs during a panic for $2000 sure does.

    It was mainstream news that gun stores and ammunition supplies were sold out just 20 months ago. It was mainstream news that guns and ammo supplies were skyrocketing in price in 2008 as well. Anyone who thinks the Republican party is going to win the White House in '16 is dreaming and if you don't have what you want by then you'll probably never be able to get it again - ever. Hillary won't put a sunset clause in her AWB.
