Is it better to do the trust route?

Trust route easier for me,some areas of the country's and my state are easier or harder to get CLEO sign off,I went trust route because It was best for my area at the time.

The CLEO in my area, Saint Louis County, is not a problem, is a trust still a good idea?

I definitely think a trust is a better route.

    1) You can eForm.

    2) If drafted properly, there shouldn't be any confusion for your trustees/beneficiaries on what to do with NFA items once you expire.

My last eForm 1 took 20 days.

I've read horror stories about setting up trusts with shady lawyers.

Can anyone here recommend a legitimate/trustworthy law firm that will do an NFA trust correctly?

I used Gun Trust Lawyer (.com). He works with a lawyer that knows NFA in your area to draw up the trust. It's a little pricey (for a student), but that includes any legal support that may be needed in the future. I think it's a fair price to pay for peace of mind.

I had the same worries, just go with I reputable lawyer. Plus three weeks or so ,I debating sending in a third lower just because they are processing the Eform 1s so fast.

It's usually best to go with a "local" lawyer, as laws can vary slightly from state-to-state.
