God, I miss Japan.As the Japanese public learns more about Yukawa, it has become socially acceptable to write him off as an idiot. His father has apologized to the Japanese people for his son’s poor upbringing. Taxpayers are openly asking why the government should waste their money trying to bring Yukawa home. His unusual background has not helped matters, either.
Personal responsibility. A sense of community. Common sense. They've got it all over there.

Along with a declining birth rate, general despair among the youth that they'll be able to find work out of college, and an out of control suicide rate (partially because Japan will list unsolved deaths officially as suicides and because of the despair about the job situation).
